Earl Dibbles, Jr. is back with his picks this week, maybe next week when he's in town we can get a live Dip'em & Pick'em?
If you haven't heard, George Strait's Cowboy Rides Away Tour is still, well, riding away. And it just so happens it makes a stop in Austin in January (and if you tune in to Z&J all this week, you could score a pair of tickets to the show). I saw this post a few days ago, back in my college days (not that far back to have been witness to what the post was referencing) I frequented Cheatham Street. It's such a cool place and it's still a hotbed for talent.
To continue the throwback and George Strait theme, check out this video. One thing is for sure, King George is timeless, but hair styles aren't quite as lucky.
Anyone that can run over a mile without stopping is a hero in my opinion and Owen Temple is planning to run 26. On the heels of putting out his brand new album Stories They Tell, he's going to put heel to pavement and run the Chicago Marathon this Sunday to raise funds for friends and family fighting cancer. You can show your support for Owen and his cause HERE. He also posted a great blog on why he decided to run, citing the red-headed stranger as an influence.
