The Sexual Assault Resource Center will hold its 4th annual Safety Awareness and Self-Defense Workshop in Madisonville.
The event is free, and is open to ages 13 to adult.
Topics to be covered include personal safety and internet safety. Participants will also have the opportunity to learn and practice self-defense techniques.
The workshop will take place on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 from 6:00pm - 8:15pm at Madisonville’s First United Methodist Church (102 South McIver Street). Refreshments will be provided and door prizes will be available. Speakers include SARC, Madison County Sheriff’s Office, Judge Keith Folterman, and Dr. Hume.
