It's the time of the year where Rock And Roll Hall of Fame nominations are released to the public and it always raises an eyebrow from me in the most recent years, given the inclusion of some groups.

I have no issue with hip-hop artists or groups being included in the Hall, because it's pretty obvious that it's not a "fad" by now, after over 30 years of it being in the spotlight. This year, LL Cool J and the Beastie Boys will up for induction in the Hall.

What I'm disappointed with is the year after year snub of Rush. I'm not a big fan of Rush and I've never really gotten into them, like the two guys in the movie "I Love You, Man," but I respect their longevity and what they've contributed to Rock and Roll.

I just got a note from someone. It says, "'I Love You, Man' was a movie. It was make believe." My mistake.

Another group that has been snubbed by the Hall is The Cure. They're now entering their fourth decade of existence and they've never shown up on a nomination ballot either.

It will be interesting to see who gets in, when the inductees are announced in December.
