One of the new shows of the fall season that I've been dying to watch is "The Event." I wasn't really into "Lost," because I felt it got kinda way too convoluted. I promise to go back and give it a chance though.
So after watching "The Situation" on Dancing With The Stars (my least favorite show, but might be worth while now that the Jersey Shore is invading), the girlfriend and I snuggled up to this show.
She already doesn't like flying, so watching the tumultous airplane scene freaked her out a bit. All in all... it wasn't bad, but I felt like it didn't give enough answers away yet to keep people hooked.
It's one of those shows that has to hit hard and tip its hand a little, but not overdo it. I felt it didn't give us enough of an explanation and I have some serious questions. Who are the "97?" What happened to the others they let go?
The way it was presented, it seems to be about terrorism and the fact that a Cuban character is the President of the United States, the show tends to lean toward a political commentary rather than entertainment.
I'll watch it again and probably give it the entire run of this season. Unfortunately, I'm going to need some answers... sooner, rather than later.
