Everyone always jokes about "Freebird" being one of the most requested songs, but there's another gaining on it. That song would be "Wagon Wheel". You've heard it at least once, whether at a party, a bar, or on the radio. It's a great song and it's been covered a lot, so much so that its generated enough sales for the "original" version to be certified gold.

A little history for you, the song started out as an unfinished demo Bob Dylan demo, simply titled "Rock Me Mama". Move forward about thirty years and Ketch Secor of Old Crow Medicine takes the demo, adds some versus and it becomes the "Wagon Wheel" we all know and love. Countless covers later (and a cover is actually what convinced him that this was a pretty good song), Darius Rucker performs "Wagon Wheel" with OCMS at the Grand Ol' Opry and later announces that he recorded the song with Lady Antebellum for his True Believers album. And now, you hear it here as his new single.
