Carrie Underwood is the top American Idol earner for 2011. Forbes magazine reports that Carrie made $20 million before taxes and any agent and manager fee deductions. Carrie surpassed Kelly Clarkson as the best-selling Idol of all time. Kelly now ranks at Number Five with an income of $2.5 million. Kellie Pickler rounds out the country-singing Idolswith an income of $1.8 million.

The Judds will have their own reality show on Oprah Winfrey's new OWN network when it launches next year, but the talk show queen wasn't the first to offer the mother-daughter duo their own show. Naomi and Wynonna turned down VH1 a few years ago. Wynonna told GAC, "We were offered the VH1 slot after The Osbournes. I was like, 'I'd rather have a lobotomy.'" Naomi added, "They offered us so much money."
Alan Jackson's Williamson County, Tennessee home recently sold for a whopping $28 million, $10 million less than the original asking price. The house, called Sweetbrier, is officially the most expensive residential sale in the Nashville area since 1997. The last estate to hold that honor was Tanya Tucker's property, also in Williamson County, which sold for $11.4 million in 2007, according to The Tennessean.
Kid Rock has been tapped to host this year's CMT Music Awards at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena on June 9th. The rocker/rapper broke the news on his website yesterday (Thursday, April 29th), saying, ""All I can promise is I will be awesome."
