Alan Jackson's Williamson County, Tennessee home recently sold for a whopping $28 million, $10 million less than the original asking price. The house, called Sweetbrier, is officially the most expensive residential sale in the Nashville area since 1997. The last estate to hold that honor was Tanya Tucker's property, also in Williamson County, which sold for $11.4 million in 2007, according to The Tennessean.
  • Alan and his wife, Denise, put their 17,000-sqaure-foot home on the market nearly a year ago. The property includes six-bedrooms, a 20-car garage, a log cabin and barn with a two-bedroom apartment and a stocked and aerated lake with a boat house.
  • The property sits on 135 acres.
  • There is no word yet on where Alan and his family will relocate.
