Scotty McCreeryexperienced some technical difficulties as he performed the National Anthem during Game 1 of the World Series on Wednesday (October 19th) night in St. Louis. The game between the American League's Texas Rangers and the National League's St. Louis Cardinals was off to a rocky start when Scotty's microphone either wasn't working or wasn't on.
Scotty was a couple lines into the song, but no one could hear him. Once the mic got going, Scotty restarted the song and didn't miss a beat, much to the delight of baseball fans. He did an amazing job anyway!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Judds will have their own reality show on Oprah Winfrey's new OWN network when it launches next year, but the talk show queen wasn't the first to offer the mother-daughter duo their own show. Naomi and Wynonna turned down VH1 a few years ago. Wynonna told GAC, "We were offered the VH1 slot after The Osbournes. I was like, 'I'd rather have a lobotomy.'" Naomi added, "They offered us so much money." So why now? Well, Naomi and Wynonna have worked through a lot of their issues with each other with the help of therapy, something the two are committed to maintaining. While they've come a long way, they're not perfect, which could make for interesting television. Wynonna said, "There's so much about us that (makes) people in airports want to look. It's like part train-wreck, but part, 'Oh, my God, they really love each other, and they get along and this is so great.' They're waiting for a train wreck."
The people cheered wildly, and according to reports, one person was heard comparing Karen to "an American Susan Boyle."
Jewel, or Karen, as the case may be, was part of a stunt being filmed for FunnyOrDie.com, the comedy video website co-founded by Will Ferrell and Adam McKay. The video was posted yesterday (Tuesday, July 13th).
After performing as Karen, Jewel returned to the stage at the club, called the Gas Lite, to entertain the crowd for a bit as herself.

Alan Jackson's Williamson County, Tennessee home recently sold for a whopping $28 million, $10 million less than the original asking price. The house, called Sweetbrier, is officially the most expensive residential sale in the Nashville area since 1997. The last estate to hold that honor was Tanya Tucker's property, also in Williamson County, which sold for $11.4 million in 2007, according to The Tennessean.
