I could gush over my love for Alamo Drafthouse in this blog, but I won't. But I applaud Drafthouse Founder Tim League for his stance. I don't care who you are, if you're in a movie you shouldn't be using your phone. Besides, who would go to a special screening or premiere and "work" during the film? That's tacky. High Five, Alamo Drafthouse.
P.S.- Did they not show this highly infomative PSA before the film started?
P.P.S.- Funny story, not even a week after that voicemail went public, I went to a movie at the Drafthouse. I bought my ticket just as the previews had started, so the cashier told me it would be dark in the theater. Not missing the opportunity, I asked if I could use my phone as a flashlight. And because Alamo Drafthouse employees are cool, not missing a beat, the cashier told me I could only if I wanted to be treated like a customer :).
